In large companies, with numerous employees, it's important and useful to monitor the computer activity of each person separately. In this way, you will be able to know what the employee is doing on his computer and whether he is productive or not. But in order to monitor the computer activity, you will need a specialized application for this purpose. That's because Windows doesn't have this feature.

A program which can help you in this situation is StaffCop. This Windows program allows you to keep a close eye over the computer activity of your employees and see what web pages they are browsing, what applications they are launching and so on.

After installing and launching the application, the user will first need to enter a password, for protecting it against unauthorized use. Besides that, one will be able to configure a key combination which will launch the program, instead of launching it from a regular shortcut. After configuring the application, the user will be presented with the actual interface of StaffCop, which includes several tabs.

By browsing through the tabs, one will be able to view different types of information regarding the computer activity of an employee. As such, he will be able to monitor the screen activity and view desktop screenshots at specified intervals of time. What's more, the employer will be able to view the list of programs installed on the employee's PC and also the webpages which are opened, all in real-time.

Having this information available, one will know if the employee is doing what he is supposed to do or not. By accessing the graphical toolbar of StaffCop, the user can generate full reports regarding the computer activity of an employee, which can then be saved in a wide range of file formats, like HTML, CSV or PDF, for future analysis.
